Purty Tasty
I stole a few of these from my co-worker, so I don't know anything about how expensive they were (Thanks Jenn!). However, I can say that they were definitly tasty, and that just the handful i got from her bag gave me a little pre-lunch boost that I sorely needed. Organic rocks - fair trade rocks - goji rocks. Whats that they say about looking and walking like a duck...

Expensive Pink Raisinettes...
This morning I saw all of Kopali's products lined up above the bulk bins at Whole Foods so I grabbed the chocolate covered goji berries at my coworker's recommendation.
PRO: Delicious - like raisinettes but better chocolate, no dairy and no weird stuff. Very YUM. I couldn't keep my hand out of the bag and ate almost the entire two servings before finally handing off the rest of the bag to another coworker to taste. It's very convenient, too.
CON: Expensive - $3.99 for a 2 oz package of organic, sustainably produced raisinettes (goji-ettes?) is still kind of expensive. Also, the packaging is a ziplock plastic bag - not exactly recyclable or eco-friendly (is it?).
I also noticed that organic goji berries are $15.99/lb at Whole foods -- that is a lot cheaper than the $32/lb for organic chocolate coated goji berries. I'll make my own chocolate coated goji berries and let you know how it goes -- I'm sure they won't be nearly as pretty or polished but it will be a lot cheaper.
However, given a choice for a quick snack - I might pick these, though I certainly would be more likely to pay $10/lb for dried organic mango than to buy a 2 oz package of dried organic mango from Kopali for $5 (yikes!).
The moral of this story - convenience is expensive.

Giddy for Goji
The combination of goji berries and organic chocolate is a winner. I am the kind of guy that likes to go to the movies and eat something sweet but can't stand buying the corn syrup stuff at the counter. So when I tuck some yummies (my boy Izzy's word) in my bag before a movie, my recent favorite is Kopali's Chocolate Covered Goji Berries. The chocolate is righteous (organic, fair trade) and tasty and goji berries are nice and chewy.
I make an addition too, sometimes I tuck another bag of cashews and mix 'em up because I like crunch. But I don't want to eat Kopali's choco-covered espresso beans late at night...that's for early morning.
Full disclosure, these guys are my friends. But they've worked so hard at sourcing and supporting small farmers around the world, that I feel good about supporting them. Find 'em at any Whole Foods.
The only catch is that I do get a little plastic bag with them. So I have to find something to do with them...they are cool looking.
