Organic semi-condensed soup.
BuyIn general I don't like canned soups since they are loaded with sodium and not fresh.. but they are good for emegencies. I waited until this soup got cold to try it so this isn't a fair review, I'll make a new hot batch later and update this.
When cold, the soup tastes gelatinous, with the tiniest mushroom bits. I wish they would not make mincemeat out of mushrooms. We're talking 4mm cubes here. Otherwise, it tasted okay. Again, I bet it tastes better hot -- most foods do.
Bought it at Whole Foods SF.

I thoroughly enjoyed this soup. Alot of mushroom too. On a cold and rain day in San Francisco it really hit the spot. The directions call for you to add 1/4 can of milk however I just heated it up straight and it was very tasty.

Does it work as a substitute for casseroles that call for condensed cream of mushroom soup ok? I was concerned it might not be condensed enough for the recipes. I would appreciate some feedback on anyone's thoughts. more »
