Tasty organic salsa!

Salsa Cruda is probably my favorite, followed by the "fire roasted" or other cooked varieties. Emerald's mild organic salsa is a very tasty stand-in when I don't have time or access to good tomatoes to make my own. It says "mild" but it can vary a bit as peppers themselves do vary. I always doctor mine by adding a bit of garlic, more jalapeno, cilantro or onion to taste.

Organic is a "must have." Tomatoes and peppers have such thin skins that any pesticides or chemicals go right into the plant. Always choose organic when shopping for thin skinned fruits and vegetables!

mild, USDA-certified salsa

This salsa never disappoints. I often get it at my local co-op. The company is out of Eugene and uses only organic ingredients. It's funny, have you noticed how organic products like salsa don't last as long as conventional products once opened? I've had that experience a time or two with Emerald Valley, because they use no preservatives and their salsa is crisp, slightly sweet, and fresh.
