This breakfast cereal doesn't suck

Just like Jerry Seinfeld, i am a man who loves his cereal. I take my cereal very cereal-ously (oh man that was horrendous). Anywho, this cereal by kashi is delicious and nutritious. I think my favorite part are the dried strawberries. They add just the right amount of natural sweet to my morning - and once the milk hits them they plump up a little bit. You know they aren't fresh or anything, but they aren't quite dried either... Plus this cereal is organic. Sweet.

Tasty breakfast cereal!

I'm a sucker for those freeze-dried strawberries - they are so yummy and fulfill the empty promise of the "Captain Crunchberries" in the crappy non-nutritious cereals I had as a child. Kashi makes great cereals. The flakes stay crispy and tasty and the cereal is not highly sweetened.

"Kashi" is a proprietary blend of seven whole grains and sesame and no artificial ingredients. The grains are: hard red winter wheat, oats, rye, barley, triticale, long grain brown rice, and buckwheat. Kashi's products emphasize their high protein and fiber content.

Interestingly - the company's name was chosen by combining "kashrut" (kosher) with "Kushi" the last name of Michio and Aveline Kushi, credited with bringing the modern macrobiotic diet to the United States.

Strawberries AND Raspberries!

I recently decided to go green. Every week, I introduce something new. This week was Kashi's Strawberry Fields Cereal. I LOVE IT! I poured the milk in and had to leave it for about 20 minutes, and it was still crispy! It tasted really good, too! It has strawberries and raspberries in it, so, in my opinion, the only thing that could've made it better would be to add fresh banana... The only thing about it, is that it's a little more expensive than the cereal I usually buy, but well worth it!

Still crisp after 20 minutes? Without wanting to criticize the cereal, what do they do to make that happen? How natural is that? more »
