Turned into a Pumpkin...Pie
Farmer's Market Organic Pumpkin is a quality product. As I was scooping the pumpkin from the can, it had the look and smelled of fresh pumpkin, not like conventional brand products I've used in the past that seem more like over-processed pulp.
I made a gluten-free pie crust, then simply followed the directions on the can of organic pumpkin for making the pumpkin pie filling. I was very pleased with the way my pie turned out. Not only was the flavor great, but my pie cooked evenly with the top also browning evenly, without cracking across the top, like other pumpkin pies have had a tendency to do.

One other use for this product? My dog once ate a hairball (weird, I know. you associate that with cats. Long story. . .), and the vet advised that we feed him pumpkin from a can. I don't actually remember why... to... more »

Hep, weird all right. lol. I use peanut butter or molasses when my pet has a gack-fest. Was there enough left over to make a batch of mini-muffins? more »
