I have tried Kombucha and I have to say I was surprised. The fermentation was a shock to me as I guess I did not read it well enough (I was really thirsty). I could have gotten used to it if it weren't for the natural cultures floating around that I'm sorry, but i'm not about to drink that. I'm glad that the makers of this product make it naturally and I'm happy that people really do love it, it just isn't for me.

The healhiest alternative to soda because it is naturally effervesent. Although some people find the acidic sharpness a little strong, I find that by gently adding a little Stevia(and I do mean gently) makes it more appealing. The liquid Stevia works best. One a day keeps the doctor away.

Delicious and refreshing. I used to be a soda addict, but for many reasons, I looked for something better (for me, for the people, and for the planet). Now, I have a slight Kombucha addiction. Just try it and you'll feel good.

By far one of the best in my opinion. Also, it is the only raw kombucha I have found available for purchase. Since I have started drinking this lovlely ferment, my skin is clearer, digestion is better, and I definately feel more energized after drinking it. I highly recommend the Trilogy flavor. The price is a bit high but it is better than I can make it!

It seems as though there is an ongoing rotation of health food that gets its five minutes of fame. Quinoa was one of them. Now Kombucha. Fortunately, Kombucha is a much easier alternative to Quinoa. It is ready to drink and mighty tasty. It is energizing, low in sugar, and can also make for a very nice hang-over remedy.
I have just one warning: DO NOT SMELL IT! The smell is enough to turn you away forever (but really, what would you expect from a fermented mushroom drink).

I think Kombucha is a great and simple detox. It tastes good - they have many different flavors to choose from. I actually like the fermentation...I know when I am drinking this, it is something good for my body, as opposed to sodas or coffee. It is something so simple and easy that I can do that is good for me, that doesn't involve any elaborate planning or expense. All of my co-workers drink one a day! Healthy alternative beverage! 4 stars for sure!

I love the ginger version of this Kombucha. I'm not big on the regular one, partly because of the taste. Also, I don't really drink soft drinks or juice beverages, so I don't like the ones with other berry flavors. The ginger one just tastses so spicy, rich and fulfilling. It lasts forever because one can only take a few sips at a time. I have noticed much higher energy levels when drinking this in the morning with some fruit. I usually drink a bottle throughout the day. It is pricey, so obviously an indulgence, but well worth it and much more satisfying and healthy than sweets or a coffee beverage.

I'm sorry, but no matter how good this is for you i can't get past the fermentation. It tastes like a wine cooler that's gone skunk, or taking a swig of juice you left in the back seat for too long.

My boyfriend and I seemed to be addicted to Organic Raw Kombucha. GT's Kombucha comes either as 100% Kombucha (which is the fermented tea) or as 95% Kombucha + 5% fruit juice, which is their Synergy line. I've tried most of the flavors of their Synergy line and I find that Divine Grape (5% grape juice and just enough to make it sweet) is the best. My boyfriend can't get enough of the Trilogy drink that is a mixture of 3 fruit juices. It is hard for me to find a healthy drink other than water and this seems to fit the bill perfectly. Most of the drinks of the Snergy line come with beneficial bacteria and are low in sugar. I like the carbonation aspect that some flavors have, but you'll find that some flavors ferment better than others. Try it if you are looking for something different and organic :)

Yes, Kombucha does have a taste that only a mother could love. However, as I have drunk it over the years, it is something i have gotten used to and even come to look forward to on occasion.
I do feel a little loopy after drinking it, but not in a bad way, it seems to me that like Jenn said, I am simply more energized and alert, something I am not usually :)
The best thing I have found about this drink is the health benefits I can actually feel. For instance, If i have had a few days of not eating so healthy (being busy and just snacking on pizza and take-out or the like) I find that a bottle of this stuff is a great way to get myself feeling good again, and to get me back on the healthy eating wagon.
Plus, NOTHING (and trust me, I've tried most of them) beats this stuff as a hangover cure. Drink a bottle, let it sit for 20-30 minutes, then go for a nice jog and sweat out the bad stuff. Works like a charm.
The one other caveat for this drink is I had a friend who used to drink like 2 bottles a day and apparently developed some "woman problems" (I don't know the specifics, and I definitely don't want to). Apparently, drinking too much of this stuff is bad for some women - I don't know how or why, It's just what I've been told.

A friend brought me a bottle of Kombucha as a thank-you for something -- so, I saved it and brought it to work with me. A coworker said "ooh, ahh, that's great stuff!" When I took my first sip, I thought someone was playing a practical joke -- it tasted like apple cider vinegar. Seriously aghast, I went to my coworker friend and asked "what's the dealio?"
She said, "It always tastes like that."
And yes, there's a bit of a light, slight buzzy feeling. Not like drugs or alcohol, a bit more like caffeine. Definitely something going on on there. I can't say I'd buy it again but at least I'd be prepared. It's supposed to have a lot of health benefits but I might just stick to some other live cultures...

Kombucha is made of mushrooms, folks. Funny mushrooms. When I drank half a bottle of this stuff I was left unable to physically focus on a point for more than a second or 2, and I was at work. Not a good combo. This lasted for a couple of hours. When I wrote the company they had ZERO compassion for me, only suggesting I try a smaller amount next time. JUST SAY NO! I would give it NO stars if I could.

It took me a couple flavors to acquire a taste. I love the taste and the benefits you can receive from drinking this. I have drank it through the winter cold/flu season to maintain a healthy immune system and so far so good.

I have tried almost all the flavors of this drink and the Synergy. My absolute favorites are the grape, the mango, and the trilogy. Oh, and Multi-green. They are amazing!! I try to drink one a day. They are pretty expensive, so I just stock up when they go on sale. Then when I run out I just treat myself every once in a while. I don't understand why some people don't like the taste!! It even gets better the more you drink it. DON'T SHAKE IT THOUGH!! You will lose half your drink onto your lap!! Drinking these does make me feel really good, but more relaxed then revived. That's ok too though!! I caught the cold that was going around a couple weeks ago. All my friends ended up sick for almost 2 weeks. I drank at least one Kombucha a day, and I was better in 4 days. Awesome!!
I love that they come in glass bottles, too. Although I haven't decided what to do with my new collection of bottles!!

Icky Ick Ickers!!!! OMG, is something wrong with my tastebuds????? What am I missing here? 'Cause I will tell you that this was hands-down the most disgusting drink I've ever tasted in my entire life. What the---????
Where do I begin? First of all, it was like a semi-tasteless carbon water. And when I burped my first belch, there was a gasoline aftertaste. Yes, I said G-A-S-O-L-I-N-E! (I wish I could make that up!) Who can explain that to me??? Someone??
There ain't really much more to say about this drink. Is this really healthy for us? If so, woe is unhealthy me. I'll let you Kombucha enthusiasts be the cheerleaders, but I'm outta this game. Organic-ness aside, I don't really think we should be drinking this stuff, folks.
I bought the Synergy one. Maybe GTS is the way to go, but I ain't going there again! Not even for my beloved Sustainlane!
My husband, whose tastes greatly vary from my own, had to finish the bottle for me. And he, bless his drunken little heart, mixed it with some hard alcohol & cranberry juice and hence did not notice the disgusting flavor I dramatized over. (You should have been there. It was totally Oscar-worthy!)

Kombucha is the Western name for sweetened tea that has been femented by a "kombucha colony" consisting of bacterium xylinum and yeast cultures. It dates back to about 250 BC. It is known to aid immune system function, and revive the drinker. I'm not sure if follows through on it's claims of revitalization, but I like that it's not as sweet as soda. When I'm in the mood for something sweet, I treat myself ($2 to $4) to a bottle of this stuff.

GT's makes two types of Kombucha--GT's Kombucha, which is 100% Kombucha, and Synergy, which is 95% Kombucha and 5% juice. What is Kombucha, you may ask? It is a tea that is fermented with yeast and other active cultures. Some call the active cultures a mushroom, but apparently it just looks like one and is actually something else. People swear this tea will help fix pretty much anything that ails you. I don't know about that, but when you mix it with 5% juice it's tasty as can be and also has a slight fizzy feeling in your mouth.
