flat, dry, slightly effervescent Viognier

I wasn't that impressed with this Viognier -- it was slightly effervescent, meaning a little yeast action happened at some point -- easy to happen with organic wines, especially, as most of them don't carry sulfites or sulfates, preservatives that are more likely to insure the wine process is stabilized. Anyway, it's very dry and quite flat, with a short, bumpy length.

It's not that I'd never drink it again, it's just that I'd never recommend it or buy it. And the art on the bottle is cool. I'm guessing they're still perfecting their wines.

Really nice white wine

This wine tastes quite good for the price and considering that it is organic. I would assume that for most of us who've grown up drinking conventional wines, the chemicals in them may have given our palates an industrial bias... or maybe organic grapes are smaller? I have no idea.

Anyway, this wine tastes quite good.

A nice fruity organic wine with a bad aftertaste

This wine started off nice and refreshing, with hints of melon and citrus... then gradually over time (5-10 minutes) I noticed bitter almost dirt like after taste. As I try and live more green I want to support organic products, but I'm not sure if this one will stay in my selections given this feature. I drink wine to relax at the end of a long day or enjoy with friends over dinner or cheese and I want it to be really really good... so I don't drink too much.

Maybe I Like White Wine After All

This Viognier, which is so fun to say, was delicious. I loved that it wasn't heavy or sweet like a chardonnay, but hit a great balance of dry and refreshing. It smelled like the soil they grew it in, which is interesting if not appetizing. I would buy this organic white wine again, if I was prone to buying white wines!

actually, I liked it

Looking at the other reviews of this wine, I feel kind of silly to give it 5 stars. But I genuinely enjoyed this wine. I'm not a big wine drinker, I rarely have a glass just to have a glass, if you get my drift. But this was tasty, it didn't bite me, and it was sweet and light. I hear it's under $10, which is a bonus, and it's organic and CA grown, so hurrah for that.

fruity effervesence!

To each his own palate... Unlike the other reviewer, I thought this wine was delightful. Granted, it's not a fifty dollar bottle of wine, but for what it was, it was great. Lots of melon and citrus, and the flavor seemed to burst inside my mouth from some hidden effervescent source. I would definitely buy this bottle again.

Organic means fewer hangovers

Sulphur dioxide is one of the chemicals to blame for hangovers and the lower levels found in organic wines are a selling point for organic wine. Organic standards require lower maximum levels of sulphites in wine labelled “Made with Organic Grapes”. Details like this definitely make me want to buy organic wine. Sadly, I wasn't thrilled with this white, but it was better than other organic white wines that I've tried. I appreciated the bitter flavor, and it smelled earthy like dirt. I would have liked to drink it with an ice cube, how I usually drink white wine. Considering that this wine was under $10, I would think about purchasing it again in the future, but I wasn't impressed enough with the flavor to be converted from my usual brands.

A wishy-washy white

I'm waiting for the day when you don't have to use the notion of "organic" as a discount for something's quality, but sadly, you still have to do that for the Viognier. Someone else that it was fruity, but I thought it was dry--but the dryness only offered a bitter taste.
