Overpriced & overrated...

C'mon people - this is a SHOPPING MALL. I'm overwhelmed by the the extremely high levels of consumption and waste of energy every time I am in there.

In a bind for time, I risked a trip into the basement of this gigantic mall to get food at Out The Door. I found the service to be a bit slow (at 2pm) and very overpriced. The food was tasty but it wasn't like eating at Slanted Door -- and for what it was, it was very overpriced. I'll save my money and bring lunch to work in the future.

In your mouth

This place has good rice and fusion dishes and they use organic spudware. My only beef is that they use LCD TV screens for their menu listings which certainly seems higher impact on the environment than using poster paper. Same for the imported bottled water and plastic to-go ware. Out the Door's sister business, Slanted Door, is definitely worth checking out--darned near tantric dishes and creative drinks with a great view and superb service.

The waitress told us they use all organic products when possible

I really like their food and have eaten here many times. It's seems really fresh, it's pretty inexpensive (compared to Slanted Door in the Ferry Building), and very tasty. The waitress told us they use all organic produce and meats whenever possible.
