Less expensive than (some) granites

I saw PaperStone at the Greenbuild Expo last year and got some samples. The tight grain pattern makes this a more attractive product than most of it's eco-surface competitors. Recently one of my clients actually requested this product for her island countertop, after seeing it in person in a friend's kitchen. She loved the color and pattern, and was excited about it being 'green' also. I was so happy to finally have a client chose green! When the bids came back I was happy to tell her the pricing was less expensive than her alternate choice, a granite.

Paperstone rocks

Paperstone is a lovely surface for a kitchen counter. Being made of recycled paper and non-toxic resins that put out no VOCs, makes it a fantastically sustainable product too.
They're now making a new counter top called EcoTop made from 50% bamboo fiber and a 50% wood fibers that I haven't seen yet but it seems to be remarkably strong.

Eco-friendly beautiful countertop

Paperstone by Kliptech is a countertop material made entirely out of recycled paper and non-toxic water-based resins. It comes in seven different colors, and is not only beautiful, but extremely durable and heat resisitant. It has a look similar to soapstone, and people can't believe it when I tell them it's actually made out of recycled paper.
They are even coming out with a new organic product made from 100% bamboo fiber and a 90% organic resin made using cashew nut shell oil.
