Great nonprofit doing tedious but vital work

Nobody says farming is exciting, but it's surely novel if you haven't been close to the land to sustain yourself with everyday foods in your lifetime.

I have volunteered with PG before at their leased farm plot in Sunol. PG is currently working to develop a local grocery market in West Oakland, which is pretty much a food desert.
