Sustainable Water Village Pumping System that uses the energy of Children Playing

While visiting an agricultural fair in 1989, Trevor Field "discovered a child’s roundabout, or merry-go-round, attached to a water pump. As it turned, water pumped from beneath the ground into the field."

Trever saw this clever system, negotiated rights, and put together a system that even includes a water tower with billboards for advertising products, AIDS campaigns, public service announcements and so on. The boundless energy of children is harnessed with a clever merry-go-round that also pumps water from as deep as 100 meters. With few ways to play, it is a popular attraction to draw many. The billboard income provides money for the system maintenance.

This program magnificently applies the truly evaporative energy source from the children, while giving them precious gifts.....clean water and good fun!
