One of the best bottles of wine I've ever had.
Porter Creek wine even smells organic. Their biodynamic wine smells of the earth, like the grapes have come straight from the vines into your glass. I purchased a syrah from Porter Creek that was described as having notes of bacon and green olive. Savory wine? I was sold, and when the special occasion arrived for me to open the bottle, it was divine.

Great Wines-Great for the Earth
In the vast land that is Sonoma, California and the Sonama wine culture, one winery stands out as being completely sustainable. A family run organization, Porter Creek focuses on making fantastic California wines but organically and with as little damage done to the earth as possible. They use no pesticides or chemicals on their grapes. You can tell this by the large amount of weeds that are growing around the grapevines. But from that comes a fantastic collection of wines.
