Chock full of antioxidants
So I read about this drink on SustainLane and I finally found it at my local Whole Foods. To my delight, I discovered that not only is it fruity and delicious, but it has more than twice the antioxidants of orange juice! And with cold and flu season upon us, that's good news. I'm currently gulping it down to boost my immunity in these sub-zero temperatures of New England. I don't usually drink caffeine, as I'm quite sensitive to it, so I'm not sure how the yerba mate will make me feel, but with the 24 vitamins and minerals and 15 amino acids listed on the label, it's gotta be good for me, right?

Wow! I have found my new favorite drink! The passionfruit was the perfect complement to the mate flavor, just sweet enough to offset the mate's slight bitterness...pure honey on the tongue. Grab this when you're feeling indecisive, you won't be sorry!

Why not mate instead of a latte?
I don't drink coffee because it gives me stomach aches, I do go out for a vanilla latte every now and then with a friend of coworker to pick me up on those days when I'm feeling extra tired. But lately, I've been checking out the other options at the coffee shop - yerba mate, guayaki, honest tea - these funny named beverages with interesting packaging touting their socially responsible business practices (reforestation program) and healthy ingredients. This particular flavor was delicious and refreshing. I actually feel more awake within 30 minutes of drinking it.

Too sweet, sort of buttery like guava.
I think I just might not be a passionfruit fan, becasue I found the flavor of this beverage to be way too sweet and buttery, like guava. I much prefer their mint flavored tea to this one.

Deliciously Strong and Passionate!
This iced Mate drink really hit the spot for me. The Mate flavor was strong and grassy (as it should be) and the sweeter passion fruit juice balanced out the bitterness nicely. The ingredients are all organic save for the citric acid, and it has that pick me up I need around 3:30 in my work day. I will definitely buy this again!
