Ra-flect Radiant Barrier is Great

I live in south Louisiana and I just decided to retrofit my attic with some radiant barrier to reduce my environmental footprint and save some money on my heating and cooling cost. So, I bought some Ra-flect radiant Barrier, the perforated, not the vapor barrier, because we live in the south and didnt want to have any moisture issues.
The manufactures website had details installation instructions with pictures and we decided to do the work ourselves. My brother in law and I installed this product in our attic over two weekends, simply because we like to sleep late on the weekends and didnt get started until after lunch. Honestly I think we could have installed it in one weekend if we got off to an early start.
For the price (~$136 per 1000sq ft) this product is totally worth it and will probably end up paying itself off in savings THIS summer. As we were installing it, the attic got cooler, we could actually feel the difference and even our contractor mentioned how cool it was in the attic (he was there because of termites). I have yet to really compile the energy savings, but if the attic is 85 degrees instead of the usual 120 I can guarantee that the AC will have to work less to cool the entire house.
