Ramblin Wood manufactures high-quality, affordable bed frames and furnishings from sustainably-harvested Appalachian red oak, white hard maple and bamboo. Ramblin Wood uses a pure linseed oil finish.
Address map 10001 Southern Ave SEThe thing I love about our Ramblinwood bed is that it is just what I wanted...choose my wood, choose the headboard, the footboard, the height, all completely up to me. I also love the solid sustainably harvested wood and the natural finish that doesn't offgas harmful VOCs. The assembly was easy too. I highly recommend!
My mother-in-law bought a Taos Sleigh Bed, plaform bed frame from Ramblin Wood, and asked me to put it together for her. It was the easiest job she has ever asked me to do for her. Shipment was on time, materials were intact and undamaged, and all the hardware was there. Easy assembly and it actually took me longer to unpack the bed frame than it did to assemble. Most of the hardware is pre-installed and you basically put the pieces together by tapping them together with a rubber mallet (or in my case a hammer with a towel over the wood to protect if from damage). The product is extremely sturdy. Easy instructions (one-page). Mother-in-law is happy and when she's happy, we're all happy. I will definitely buy a bed frame from Ramblin Wood and would recommend them to anyone.

On the plus side, Ramblin Wood is an American company. On the minus side, their California King platform bed is not ready for prime time. It is shaky and rattly. Their twin bed might be okay. Their customer service seems well-intentioned, but many of their products need further design work and testing. The products are affordable, but the quality is not there yet.

I just assembled a full-size Taos Sleigh Bed and it's probably one of the sturdiest bed frames I've ever seen so I have no idea what the issue was with the King platform bed, maybe this guy didn't tap all the pieces... more »

The Taos Sleigh Bed seems to be a lot sturdier than the platform beds. Maybe that's the way to go. more »

I don't think they make anything other than platform beds, but I could be wrong. If you had problems with a king size bed that you got from them you should give them a call, the customer service seems really good. I... more »
