by Beth S.

Goat cheese and yogurt combine with summer herbs for a light fresh dip with a difference.

Active Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes

Ingredients

6 - 8 oz fresh goat cheese
2/3 cup whole milk yogurt
3 green onions, white and green parts, chopped
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic minced or pressed (to taste)
freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Directions

  1. Place goat cheese and yogurt in a blender. Pulse until mixed but not a puree. Pour into bowl.
  2. Blend in onion, parsley, basil, garlic and black pepper. Taste for salt.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for an hour to allow flavors to blend.

You can mix this ahead, but chop and add the onions, herbs and garlic no more than an hour before serving.
