Ingredients:
For Sambal (Chili paste):
- vinegar
- brown sugar
- chopped garlic
- shallots
- habanero/jalapeno chili peppers
Blend together using a blender
For Tempeh:
- tempeh (cut to small pieces)
- stinky beans or Petai in Indonesian. Optional
- chopped garlic
stir fry all together until crispy (use olive oil).
For additional sauce:
- chopped tomato
- lime leaf
- lemon juice
Get rid of excess oil, and mix the crispy tempeh, stinky beans, dried shrimps, and chopped garlic with chopped tomato, lime leaf and lemon juice in a pan (low heat). Add the chilli paste. Throw in a small glass of water. Keep mixing until all the ingredients mixed well. Serve with white rice.
