Buying toilet paper isn’t anyone’s favorite task…there’s something slightly embarrassing about leaving the grocery store with all those rolls under your arm.

But picking the right toilet paper is important—and if you’d rather avoid clogging up the toilet paper aisle while you check labels for recycled content and bleaching information, Greenpeace has an application for you.

For iPhone users Greenpeace’s Recycled Tissue and Toilet Paper Guide—now available as an app—makes shopping for paper products easier.

The iPhone Application ranks 18 paper towel and toilet paper companies and 16 tissue and paper napkin companies. To qualify as “highly recommended,” paper products must contain 100 percent recycled content, (at least 50 percent from post-consumer recycled paper) and be bleached without chlorine compounds. Seventh Generation, Natural Value, 365 Everyday Value, Earth Friendly and Green Forest top Greenpeace’s list.
