R2RV - RU Going?
If you live in the rural NW, are U attending this year's Regards to Rural V Conference (R2RV), October 25-27, at Skamania Lodge, located along the Columbia River Gorge?
If not, I encourage you to do so; it's a great way to network, gather timely information about funding for rural projects, and gain leadership and conflict resolution skills. There are sessions on policy and resource development, culture and community, and for youth. I've attended for the past two years, and last year I was selected to be one of their scholarship recipients for my involvement with agri-tourism and entrepreneurism in our region. I found both conferences to be enlightening and inspiring. I encourage you to go, if you are wanting to be an agent of change in your rural community.
