By definition...
Horchata should be dairy free since it is a beverage made from soaking rice and using the water. However, in the US, the Dairy Council ensures that milk powder gets into positively everything (food or not), so it's refreshing to see good old fashioned horchata in a box. This horchata was not quite as good as homemade, but it worked well in a pinch while travelling.
