Tesla's Road Rocket

We were talking about the Tesla Roadster over the weekend, and today Newsweek provides us with an update. Yowie-Zowie, Batman...$98K would hurt my pocket book, but evidently not George Clooney's nor Matt Damon's. With a few unresolved problems to fix, the Tesla isn't out the gate just yet. But, evidently, first year production of 600 cars is already sold out. There's hope for those of us not making a six-figure income. Once the Roadster is on the road, there's "White Star" in the works; Tesla's five-passenger luxury sports sedan, due out in 2010 with a price tag of $50K. And following the debut of White Star, a electric car that's more in line with my budget, Tesla's 'blue light special' cleverly named the "Blue Star". Maybe they should name the Tesla Roadster "Mega Star".
