Fresh local produce and a fun weekly visit!

The Sandhill Farmers Market runs May through November on the Clemson University Sandhill Research and Education Center. In their own words:
"We have recruited farmers from around the midlands counties. All vendors are required to personally grow a certain percentage of the items that they sell. Items available include fresh local produce, meat, poultry, eggs, butter, milk, cheese, honey, plants, flowers, shrubs, and baked goods. Many products are organic. An 'Ask a Master Gardener Booth' is available for anyone with questions on lawn and garden problems."

Some personal favorite vendors of mine:
* Wil-Moore Farm, my weekly source for eggs and also occasional dairy and poultry.
* Ayla's Organic Farm, which has standard Southern produce like black-eyed peas and okra, but also more interesting vegetables like Japanese eggplant -- always great fruit and vegetables!
