Due to rising costs and issues of global warming, we are all trying to save energy as much as we can

Save energy and start from your stove

Match your pot size with the burner
First, choose a pot or pan with the right size for the job, Then, try to match your pot size to the burner on the electric stoves, so the heating stovetop gets the heat evenly and you are not heating more stovetop than you need.

Cover the pot with a lid
If you need to use the stove to boil water, make sure you use the lid to cover the pan. It helps to save energy, cut down your bill, and 75% faster than without the lid.

Boiling water for tea or coffee
Use the measure for the amount of water. Purchase an electric kettle for boiling hot water instead of using countertop. It is a lot faster and uses less energy than stove.

Use pressure cooker
Most people are afraid of pressure cooker, but I have to say that pressure cooker does cook the same amount of food twice faster than any other cooking tools. So go to check out this new kitchen appliance and give it a chance.

Cook or boil without turn on the heat
Don’t be confused here. Turn off or turn down the stove once the water starts boiling or food starts sizzling. Use the remaining heat to finish the rest of job.

"So go to check out this new kitchen appliance and give it a chance." New? ROTFL - my grandma had one. They are great kitchen tools, though. Never thought about the energy savings side of it.
