Environmental Stewardship - Tending the Garden

Last spring, I had the privilege of hearing Tri Robinson, an ecology major, founding pastor of the Vineyard Boise Church [http://www.vineyardboise.org/] and author of "saving God's green earth", speak at a conference in Oregon. An engaging speaker with a dynamic message, Tri spoke with enthusiasm and humility about his personal journey to rediscover his Christian responsibility to be a steward of the environment, to care for God's creation.

Tri was startled at how well his first "green message" from the pulpit was received. Within a year, environmental stewardship became a vital part of the culture of his church. Let's Tend the Garden [http://www.letstendthegarden.org/] is the outgrowth of Tri's vision to provide a way for people to work together in unity, in a non-partisan effort, to care for creation. The commission: "It is the responsibility of every true Christian to take stewardship seriously, and that includes environmental stewardship. We need to embrace the task to “Tend the Garden.”
