Okay, but could be better

My friend bought one. It's cute, but it's still a petro-mobile. The SMART car is even more gas efficient, takes up less valuable land space while parked and offgassing benzene carcinogens, and uses less resources/energy to produce.

Great product from Toyota but I would prefer riding my bicycle any day!

Planet Friendly Auto

Taking into account all of the energy inputs, emissions, fuel economy, and post consumer use (recycling) factors into account, the Scion XB is at the top of the list for planet friendly autos - at an affordable price too. I have owned my XB for two years now and average 37.5 mpg. The purchase price was about half that of a Prius (once the Prius options are added) and I am very happy with it. considering the fact that current hybrid vehicles come with an extremely unatractive deep cell battery that you need to dispose of post use, the XB is a car that should be at or very near the top of the list for climate conscious persons.
