Mermaid's Tears Jewelry

Born and raised with the ocean at my front door, I've always had a particularly deep passion for the sea and all of its mysteries. A few years ago I began to collect Mermaid's Tears along the shores of the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada, and have been mystified and captivated by the very essence of them ever since. Deborah Leon, from California, shares my passion for collecting sea glass, and she makes the most amazing jewelry from Mermaid's Tears! The very meaning of sustainability

The sea glass jewelry Deborah creates with what others considered trash and threw it in the ocean? You couldn't find a better example of how what was discarded as worthless finds a new life as ornaments of beauty after the eroding properties of the ocean have turned it into loveliness. It's almost hard to believe they weren't just meant to be--gifts of glass from the waves. Really exquisite pieces are given simple, elegant settings. Deborah's an artist. Mermaid's Purse is SO worth a look!

Unique Treasure

Deborah Leon, President of Mermaids Purse is an incredibly talented woman. She has taken a unique and beautiful product from oceans all over and created timeless pieces of jewelry that can not be found any where else. Her handcrafted talent is shown in such detail in each piece. I have the privilege to own exclusive pieces created just for me and I am complimented on them everywhere I go. My daughter Keanna also wears her new necklace created just for her and all her friends at school love it and want one. Deborah is highly professional and has a vision for this company that is going in the right direction. Her knowledge of sea glass and its' authenticity makes her designs even more appealing.

Wonderful jewelry & way of life

I so enjoyed visiting your Mermaid website. It was nice to learn a little about this craft and of sea glass itself. To think I've had pieces of sea glass in my possession and never appreciated their potential. From your article I'd guess the pieces I had came from Puget Sound since that's my home base or perhaps Victoria British Columbia from summer camp days.
