Crocs are made of PCCR, a closed cell plastic that is very light. It is probably a petroleum based plastic but Croc will not tell what it is. Croc knock-offs are usually made of EVA plastic and made in China as this product is.
This plastic item is a good example of making a profit from something that has a negative impact on the environment. There are many eco-friendly alternatives to using a cell phone holder made of plastic. You can buy a quilted 100% cotton one from Etsy. There are numerous sources for leather ones, too.
It is cute and trendy but when it is done carrying a cell phone, it will be discarded into the environment to hang around for centuries.
