Eat your fats "organic"

I read somewhere that if you eat nothing else that is organic, make sure your fats and nuts are organic because those fats stay in your body a lot longer. It seems to make sense but regardless of veracity, it's an excellent excuse to eat MaraNatha's excellent nut butter products.

Their tahini is creamy and smooth and is my choice for making hummus and a secret ingredient in my peanut butter cups (shh! don't tell!).

It does come in a glass jar -- it' a great size for storing chile peppers and other spices.

Creamy nut butter

MaraNatha makes a great tahini. I prefer the creamy, roasted saltless kind. It's made from organic sesame seeds and is great on rice cakes, bread, in dressings babaganoush. It's organic and is produced in Ashland, Oregon but I think you can get it at many natural foods stores.
