I placed an order this morning at 9:21 a.m. and when I hit the "continue" button it took me to a page that said my cart was empty. So I added the items to my cart again and went through the process again. I recall reading that hitting the "continue" button does NOT charge the credit card, but will take me to a confirmation page to actually submit the order. I only did this step ONCE. I was taken to an order submitted page and went about my business. When I checked my email I found 2 confirmations at 10 a.m. and immediately called in to cancel one of the orders. I am disappointed that the customer service rep., Jamie, was unhelpful and even snickered at me when I told her that I did not feel that I should be charged for both orders. She said there is nothing they could do because the order is already being processed. This was approximately 30 minutes after the order is placed. I asked to speak to the Supervisor, Nancy, and I was transferred to her voice mail. I've left a message but am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service that this company has offerred. I am in Sales and in this day and age with the times customer service is what differentiates one company from another. I have spent approximately 1 hour on this issue going back and forth with the Customer Service Rep and will most likely have to call back again to have my second order re-routed in order not to be charged for the duplicate order. I will not be purchasing from Simple Shoes again and I will make sure to give my customer feedback to online merchant reviews so customers know what they are getting themselves into.
I bought my first pair of Simple shoes about two years ago. They were cool looking and 40% off at the time so I tought what's to loose. It was one of the best purchase ever! They became my city walking shoes during our 2 years abroad because they were looking great and were sooo comfortable, with or without socks. They are still going today too, and still looking so cool (even though the green toe underneath is not so green anymore)

I have a pair of hemp eco sneaks. They've held up well the almost 10 months I've had them, and I wear them just about every day. LOVE them, especially that they are eco friendly!!!
I own a pair of the loafers and they didn't last very long. They are very comfortable, but seem to wear out pretty fast. I also wish they wouldn't use wool, to keep the shoes completely vegan. I really like the natural rubber.
I ordered a pair of loafers from simple shoes, bamboo lining cork bottoms organic cotton outer sole, most comfortable shoes i have ever worn if the sandals weren't so expensive i would definitely order more but i might just have to wait till i get a job.

Wow! Cool idea! They sell these suckers at Whole Foods (*Cough* Whole paycheck)
I'm disappointed that I can't afford them and buy my groceries at the same time. Choose one or the other, or just head to Trader Joe's for your groceries.

I needed some new bumming around sandals for the long haul of summer and I preferred a shoe I could feel good about buying. That is, a shoe that didn't have a huge guilt tax to pay because of the labor and non-biodegradable materials that went into it. I found just what I wanted at the Green Festival in Chicago at the Simple booth. Simple...a nice little shoe company. I walked an unrecommended distance in my Simple little flip flops just last night. Now I have a blister on my toe and an ache in my arch, but they are still very nice shoes and mine are in a terrific color combo of a real earthy green and yellow. The shoes were fairly affordable, but then you've got to pay simply more for fair.

I bought the Simple Sugar sneakers in 'Sand.' The heel did take a little breaking in, but they are super comfy now!

Hooray! A vegan shoe manufacturer who acknowledges that some of us have large feet. I found stylish cute shoes that fit.

Tried a few shoes on at this booth at the Green Festival in Washington, DC and loved the sandal. It offers great support for the arch which is really hard to find in a flip flop. The other shoes are comfy but look too "eco" and not so attractive. Otherwise, I highly recommend this shoe company!

I'm walking around the Green Festival with my simple shoes and simply having a great yet simple time. Seriously, it's simplicity that makes things better. Why make it complicated and confuse you about what I think about a product. I don't like confusion. I want to keep it simple for the earth, my fellow humans and this company and product is helping me do that by being closer to the earth, the mother. Life can be simple and beautiful and so I don't want to bore you with all the confusing details of why these shoes makes me simply feel beautiful and alive. That's it, my girlfriend is beckoning me onward. Simply good bye. We've heard it before.
Simple Green Toe Play Toe shoes are amazingly easy on my feet and my conscience! They are made of jute, cork, crepe rubber, and bamboo; so I feel comfortable wearing them without worrying about wearing out my world! They put a skip in my stride and a lift in my pride! And I can literally walk the green talk! Thanks Simple!

Green Toe is an offshoot line of shoes from the shoemaker Simple. The shoes themselves are made from sustainable materials, including jute, crepe, natural rubber, cork, and rubber based glues. All in all the overall natural and proclaimed sustainability of the making of the shoes gives them a huge plus in my book. Stylish enough, yet definitely natural looking, they do get comments!
In my case, they *did* have a somewhat prolonged break-in period, with some pain and/or discomfort on the top of my big toe now and then over the course of a week and a half. Also, with a laytex/cork "pedbed" they would not be my first shoe of choice if I had to stand for 8 or more hours per day.
Overall, for my lifestyle, I'm quite satisfied with these shoes. For those who require long hours of standing, hiking, walking, or need shoes to wear the day after buying them, these wouldn't work the best, but for all others these are an excellent option.

I purchased my first pair of shoes from these guys this last year. I've never liked wearing shoes, ever, always the flops. I can't keep them off my feet, they feel wonderful!
