Slate is the best clothes cleaning service. Period.
After learning about the toxins and chemicals used in traditional dry cleaning, I decided to try Slate New York. In addition to being eco-friendly it's also incredibly customer-friendly. The idea is that they don't just clean your clothes; they return your clothes to you, brand new!
They were able to get stains out that I have not found any other dry cleaner able to do (spaghetti on a white cashmere sweater!!). They will also fix buttons, loose seams, take anything you leave in your pockets and return it all to you... without you having to ask for a thing.
I only use their dry cleaning service as I prefer doing my own laundry, but you can also give them a full hamper of clothes and they will sort out what needs to be washed and what should be dry cleaned.
And the prices are great -- comparable to a regular dry cleaner.
Customer service is *phenomenal*. Think Apple meets Method meets your local dry cleaner. The location is not ideal, but it's worth the extra travel.

Terrible Service
These guys might look sleek but their customer service is terrible. They ruined my property and took zero responsibility. It was up to me to work with their insurance company to obtain a settlement. There service is terrible and I would never recommend them to anyone.
