Unique in all the World, an Award-winning Journal for the Small Farmer

The Small Farmer's Journal is a unique, large format, 130-page quarterly, published since 1976. It's a treasure trove of gathered knowledge, and a true work of art. Our friend David, owner of Triple Tree Farms in Elmira, gave my husband a subscription a couple years ago. What a fabulous gift! The articles are such great reads, and each page is so filled with interesting facts and information, that we put them out by the coffee table for our guests to peruse.

The journal's content is divided into editorials, regular features, crops, farming systems and approaches, livestock, equipment and facilities, poems, book reviews, ads and a back issue order form. You can also subscribe and renew online, where you will also find links to recommended resources and product updates.

The September '07 issue includes articles about honey bees, watermelons, sheep and wool products, Part II of French gardening, evaluation of mowers and maintaining grassland, eggs, and restorative forestry.
