I bought one of these Smart Strips at an Earth Day fair this year. We have a DVD player that had NO power off switch - it was always in standby mode. When I hooked the TV and peripherals up to this strip, I could see the difference on my electric bill. Given that my family members are not disciplined about turning off peripherals, this has been a definite money-saver for me.
