Worn-Out Crocs Get New Life

Remanufactured Crocs are donated to people around the world. When you're ready to buy a new pair, drop your off at a distribution location. Your recycled pair will be sorted with others, to be cleaned, ground and manufactured into new crocs that others can wear...for example, "10,000 pairs of shoes will be distributed throughout Haiti by Melky Jean to YeleHaiti, Wyclef's foundation". Watch their online video to learn how you can get involved.

Your ugly ole Crocs are recyclable!

I hate Crocs - they are the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. I've never worn them and don't see it in my immediate future. One of my chief concerns was that they seem utterly disposable.

Soles United changes all that -- they have established a recycling program for Crocs. When your Crocs become worn and lose the tread on the bottom, you can drop them off or mail them in to be recycled. They are turned into new shoes and distributed free to areas of need around the world.

They have donated over 1 million pairs of shoes. in 2008, the goal is to donate 2 million pairs of recycled shoes to those in need.

Now you know what to do with those old Crocs!
