Pellegrino adds a sparkle to any drink!

This is my favorite sparkling water -- it has the best taste and balance of minerals. Some sparkling mineral waters taste really hard or salty. Pellegrino is my favorite for diluting sparkling fruit juices and for making my own sparkling fruit juice. If you, like me, think Izze fruit sodas are too sweet -- dilute it with Pellegrino and it will taste much better. Nothing beats Pellegrino and squeeze of lime. Sometimes, I just mix half Pellegrino and half still water -- that's also delicious.

Disclaimer:
- I am do buy Pellegrino in glass bottles though they are now producing it in plastic bottles.
- I know it comes from Italy which makes it distinctly not local and creates a larger carbon footprint for the product.
- I do know that it doesn't come out of the ground with bubbles already in it (no sparkling water comes out of the aquifer that way).

100 years of mineral bubbles

You'll be hard-pressed to find a more devout San Pellegrino drinker than myself. This Italian sparkling mineral water is delicious on its own or with anything you're eating. It's got just the proper amount of sodium. And though it's local to Italy, so you're not getting your local fix of bubbles if you live in the States and drink Pellegrino, it's still a paragon for carbonated mineral water. You can get it in all differently sized green bottles -- I often drink the 750 mL.
