Organic German Stollen for Gifts, Dessert or Indulging
Sterntaler Bakery is a new family owned wholesale baker in California that sells at farmer's markets and also makes it's addictive stollen cake availble online with thick swirls of chocolate, walnut paste, or poppyseed filling.
Even bakers in Germany agree you can't get such high quality baked goods made with natural ingredients (the flour is organic). While the $20 price may seem high, you only need to eat the stollen in small slices.
I give these to dinner hosts instead of wine now, and for dessert it always wows. For whatever reason these stollen cakes are completely addictive.
