Sugarcane!

I loved my recent visit to this new bar. Sugarcane is in the old Corkscrew location on Washington avenue and has a light, airy feel to it. They have a menu of several "classic" cocktails and well as a menu of new creations. All the drinks are handcrafted using local and organic ingredients and all the juices, including the sweet and sour mix, are fresh squeezed and house made every single day. I tried the "El Verde " which was made with vanilla vodka, honey and lime juice and a delicious cocktail called the "6th Ward" featuring organic vodka, thyme and muddled blueberries. The bartenders were so friendly and handcraft the drinks meticulously, using jiggers and muddlers. I think this is why the end result is so balanced. It's a treat to watch them create your drink from scratch. I will definitely be back!!

Sweet!

Went to this place the other day... was curious. No one in Houston has done this yet. I went there ready to critique! However, I couldn't have been more pleased. Bartenders were so friendly, drinks were very different and sooo refreshing. Crowd was nice too, not your typical. Environment was VERY pleasant. I think this is definitely my new favorite spot to sip some dranks.
