Think about all the t-shirts that you will go through in your life. Some t-shirts we own may end up having closer relationships with our bodies than some of our boyfriends or girlfriends. The right t-shirt can be with you for decades. With that kind of potential for a relationship, don't you want something soft and organic next to your skin? It doesn't hurt if it makes you look good either. That's why American Apparel t-shirts have become the standard. Sweatshop free, organic, soft, and cut to enhance the wearer.

I agree with Abendigo, I love these clothes despite the advertising ideology behind American Apparel. These are the best undershirts I have - they are super soft and comfortable and just feel better when I'm wearing them. A little expensive at $15 a piece, but like everything else in the green marketplace, hopefully they can gain enough foothold to be the standard, not some sort of premium, and the prices will come to match.

Their clothes are mighty comfortable and hip. Hey AA, why don't you get involved in bamboo clothes? Bamboo is so soft it's almost like post-modern velvet. I've got a bunch of different organic cotton tees from AA, and I pretty much cherish each and every one of them. You can feel (as well as "see") the difference these clothes make when you wear them. Organic cotton is just more comfy and soft. Still, some of the pics AA use in their advertising throw me for a loop and let's just say it's not an organic cotton loop...

could not believe my luck - walked into the store on Union St. and found my favorite t-shirt in a rainbow of colors. Do I buy one of each? What a dilemma... These colorful comfortable shirts are to become my staple. To be worn on a lazy weekend or dressed up for a night out on the town

The American Apparel shirts are hip, trendy and fit perfectly. Cut smaller than the regular brands, these shirts give women a slim fit and make the baby tee style extremely fashionable. I love the 'nutritional facts' displayed on the t-shirt arms of these ultra trendy shirts.
Above all they are a healthy choice when it comes to t-shirts, the ultimate choice when it comes to comfort, reliability, durability and being perfect in tandem with the enviornment.

Their t shirts, etc are great, especially the sustainable edition, but the sustainable edition needs to be expanded to include other colors.
Also, regular t shirts (not the sustainable line) fall apart with holes, etc. I recommend buying one size up despite baggier fit, since seams aren't held together that well with their clothing.

American Apparel has fantastic clothing that is organic, affordable, well made and made in America! I have had a pair of their organic sweat pants for 3 years now and I wear them all the time... they are so comfy!

I own multiple american apparel t-shirts. They fit much better and have a softer feel than regular t-shirts. They come in a variety of colors and are great for adding a design and making group t-shirts (i.e. for a club for your school)

These shirts are great. They have a modern cut that flatters all body types. The shirts are very soft--they feel like they have been worn for years right from the store. You have to be careful when machine drying these shirts, as they have a tendency to shrink under high heat. I have three of these now and plan on getting more. They are also excellent for printing and embroidering.

I bought this shirt (I'm currently wearing it) from American Apparel in downtown Washington D.C.. The idea behind the clothing company is that its manufactured "fairly" i.e. it's workers are adequately compensated. This specific shirt, however, was manufactured with organic cotton. While more expensive then their non-organic t-shirts, it is a shirt of quality and comfort. Its monotone organic cotton color creates an interesting minimalist aura and adds a nice touch to any outfit. The only downfall to the shirt however is the price--$18.00 plus tax for a plain t-shirt may seem unreasonable to some.
