Definitely one of your best options for Mexican food
Tamarindo is tasty, fresh, and pretty whole foods oriented. How many restaurants can you say that about? I feel like I'm eating real food cooked by a real person from scratch when I eat there. Let's admit it, that's a pretty rare experience these days. Bring someone you care about there and you will both feel deeply cared for as the excellent staff brings you plate after plate of wonderful food cooked by someone who you will wish was your Mexican aunt. Treat yourself!

Wonderful small plates high-end Mexican
I love this place. It's cozy, without a huge number of tables, so expect a wait unless you're early or late. The small plates have consistently been delicious--on my last visit, we had the Sopa Azteca , Tostaditas, and the grilled vegetables. They were all great. Highly recommend the Mexican Hot Chocolate, too.
