New Raw Dishes
I had been to the Chicago Diner years ago, when I was only a vegetarian. The food was good, but it's more like a greasy-spoon diner for vegetarians in my opinion.
But my hubby and I went there last weekend and tried their Rawchos. Yum! So very, very good. Not too salty, and the cashew sour 'cream' was to-die-for. We then tried two raw desserts. I had the carrot cake- very good. My husband had the blueberry lemon 'cheesecake'- oh my goodness! That was the best 'cheesecake' I have ever had ( including those made with actual cream cheese )!!!

Yummy kitsch in a great location
Located in one of the happiest neighborhoods in Chicago (Boystown), this restaurant has got a great vibe going at all times: chill, relaxed, open and friendly. The food is great, too, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan selections, not to mention daily raw specials. They like to do the imitation food, so you'll see a lot of typically meaty meals done up right with seitan, tofu and tempeh. Don't forget to grab some of their delicious vegan baked goods on your way out!

outstanding vegan choices
This restaurant has been around for some tine, yet never fails to excite the palette. The main dishes can be spicy and visually inviting, and the deserts are always delectable.

Almost Edible
Not very inspired. My food was bland and dry. Just because it's vegan/vegetarian food doesn't mean we have to forgo deliciousness.

The best undairy shakes

amazing veggie food for a newbie vegitarian
I love this place. I always take friends from out of town here to experience the deliciousness of the food, dessert, and drinks! I also have their cookbook and love to try out the recipes.

vegetarian Diner
I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian for that matter, but I enjoyed the food very much. I had a curry burger with apple chutney. Super delicious! Also, the service was good.

Great eats for the Family
Chicago Diner has consistently been a great place for the whole family to eat veggie. I have never had a bad meal there and the food is always fresh.
