Located in one of the happiest neighborhoods in Chicago (Boystown), this restaurant has got a great vibe going at all times: chill, relaxed, open and friendly. The food is great, too, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan selections, not to mention daily raw specials. They like to do the imitation food, so you'll see a lot of typically meaty meals done up right with seitan, tofu and tempeh. Don't forget to grab some of their delicious vegan baked goods on your way out!

This restaurant has been around for some tine, yet never fails to excite the palette. The main dishes can be spicy and visually inviting, and the deserts are always delectable.

Not very inspired. My food was bland and dry. Just because it's vegan/vegetarian food doesn't mean we have to forgo deliciousness.

I thought that overall the diner does a good job of creating vegan and vegetarian food. However, I would like to see more organic and locally grown food options.

Practical and good tasting food and smiles to boot!! Thanks for introducing healthy food to us. I might not have found this great place otherwise!
When I was vegan, I really missed having milkshakes. The Chicago Diner has the best vegan shakes around. Truly a delicious treat

Had the vegan lasagna and I didn't miss the cheese or dairy products one bit. I'm more open to becoming a vegan.
I love this place. I always take friends from out of town here to experience the deliciousness of the food, dessert, and drinks! I also have their cookbook and love to try out the recipes.

I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian for that matter, but I enjoyed the food very much. I had a curry burger with apple chutney. Super delicious! Also, the service was good.

The Chicago diner is not just for the meat repellent. Their menu choices, while being completely vegan, are hearty and creative.

Chicago Diner has consistently been a great place for the whole family to eat veggie. I have never had a bad meal there and the food is always fresh.

Chicago Diner is one of the most unique dining experiences I've had in ages. What makes it so unique is it's very familiarity. Even the name "Chicago Diner" evokes a 50's style cafe full of American comfort food. This squeezy lil' diner has that appeal, with the unique disguise of being a mostly veg/vegan version of the comfiest comfort foods we love. Big gooey chocolately cake with white frosting, lots of sprinkles? It's there. Juicy burgers? Yep! You'll hardly miss the meat and chemicals eating these yummy creations. The only thing I'd wish they could do is get a bigger building. They can definitely expand their building while you get to enjoy the goodies that don't expand your waistline. Enjoy, enjoy and don't forget to save some room for that cake!
