An alternative to Home Depot and Lowes
I was impressed by the owners' knowledge of both green and conventional home products. Did you know that the so-called "sustainable" bamboo flooring sold at the conventional DIY stores is made from the weaker part of the plant, and can withstand only a fraction of the PSI that green bamboo can? Plus, while the plant itself may be considered sustainable, there is no guarantee that it was harvested in an eco-friendly, or even people-friendly, manner.
