Address map 10 SE 7th AveWhen my partner & I first moved to Portland, a friend said this should be one of our regular haunts. He was right. The menu is original, diverse, and refreshlingly affordable. I've been to some of the "you must go to" places in the Pearl which do not compare at even twice the price. The decor is comfortable and unpretentious. The restaurant is expanding, even while other places are hurting, so that's a great sign! One other plus - there's a nice assortment of vegetarian options, too.

My best friends and boyfriend took me here for my twenty-seventh birthday for a meal I will never forget. We got the best table in the house, an intimate corner table outside encircled with tiny white lights. The drinks were super yummy (try the Herbito, a tasty variation on the mojito with tarragon) and the food was divine. We had the roasted garlic and cheese ball for appetizers - how could you go wrong with those? But the strawberry salad, basil gnocchi, asparagus risotto, and salmon were all to die for. And the four of us all agreed that the chocolate lava cake was the best that any of us have ever had. Eight thumbs up, Farm Cafe! Thanks for making this year's birthday unforgettable.
