With all the waste we create each month, you gotta love the idea of a reusable feminine hygiene product, however, this thing hurts. If I could just get it to stay in place and not poke the sensitive outer tissues, I would love it.

The keeper is unbelievably handy. It helps avoid some of the less desirable problems that occur while menstruating. Purchase one and you'll never again find yourself saying "do you happen to have a..." or "can we stop at the store for some..." It’s a no brainer.

tampons and pads create waste, and the dioxin (whitening bleach) in them pollutes ground water AND is bad for your body. the keeper is the eco feminist solution!! the keeper is a reusable natural rubber menstrual cup. it collects the blood inside of you, and you can dump it out, clean it and reuse it for decades!!! it saves tons of money and doesn't get gross like pads or tampons. you squeeze it and stick in your vague and let the mouth of the cup seal around your cervix like a plunger, then you twist it to lock in the seal. you can dump it out and reinsert it, and whenever you're not in a public restroom, just clean it out with soap and water. in between periods, soak it in vinegar to clean it. it's phenomenal -when you have it in, you wouldn't know at all and can go about your day as if you didn't have your period. buy it!

The Keeper is an internally worn, reusable menstrual cup, made from natural gum rubber or silicone. It's an environmentally friendly, affordable alternative to tampons or pads. I bought my Keeper eight years ago, in 1998, and I'm still using the same one (though I think I'll get a new one just in case). Here are some of the reasons I love using the Keeper, as opposed to tampons or pads: --No waste to clog sewers or fill up landfills --Never have to buy tampons or pads --Never have to worry if I have tampons or pads in stock --No risk of Toxic shock syndrome --Great for camping and hiking trips --Can put it in and forget about it for 6-8 hours, meaning I don't have worry about my period at work or school.
