Nova Studio produces sweet treats

I admit - I haven't yet taken a class, but I have had a pretty good sample of the products my brother has created in her classes. Lori is a sweetie and I've only heard good things about her classes. Please bring me some of the rosemary-lichen soap when you are done. Thank you.

Cute, fun, creative, green

I took a cold process soap making class here, and I loved it. I love crafty things, and Lori tries to keep everything she puts in her soaps natural. At the time, she was trying to switch completely to natural fragrances versus using any synthetics, but there are just some smells that you can't get from essential oils. I can see why it would be hard to stop using fake frangrances cold turkey when you're used to having any smell you want, but I think she was trying because she knew it was worth it to not use artificial fragrances which are common allergens and possibly carcinogenic. Lori is a great teacher, the location is adorable, and it's always a great time to learn a new craft. I recommend it with 5 enthusiastic stars. :)
