Solar Powered and Living Off-Grid

I met with Michael Ridden, owner of the Solar Store in Bend, Oregon, to test ride an Ego electric scooter. Michael, an architect with a focus on designing with renewable energy systems, also operates a retail outlet for innovative sun-powered products with an online store offering over 200 solar energy products for: house and garden, clothing and accessories, toys and gifts, camping and RVing, electric transportation, systems and components, emergency and backup, books and magazines, along with education and training.

Using many of the solar products he sells, for the past six years, Michael and his wife have been living off-grid in the home he designed and built using 75% recycled materials. Their energy system is hybrid solar electric and wind powered; their house has natural ventilation, a greywater system, and a green roof.

Request a FREE copy of Michael's 8-page "The Solar Store News - renewable energy design guide & catalog". I am amazed how much I've learned reading it!
