surprisingly delicious
I've been a vegetarian for over a decade. This was the first year I decided to try a tofurky as part of our Thanksgiving meal. I"m glad to report that both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Even several of the meat eaters at our table enjoyed it. Some of them mentioned they wanted to 'make the switch' but were worried about giving up certain foods. Certainly the nostalgia of eating turkey and meat containing dishes (like stuffing) are hard to give up on a special holiday, I gave in on that day for the first couple years (the stuffing, not the meat). It's a shame the Tofurky has such a bad wrap, but I'm a believer now and the Tofurky will be a welcome addition on our dinner table.

p.s. I followed the olive oil, soy sauce and sage marinade recipe on the box, I also added a bit of veggie broth. I baked it for about 1 hour wrapped in foil, then took it cold the next day to our friends and cooked it... more »
