My new favorite soap

I just started using the charcoal version of this soap the other day and I am already hooked. I love the smell and it is super moisturizing. I also love the fact that since it is made with charcoal it is supposed to help my body get rid of toxins. I can't speak to this for a fact (I am no Dr. and didn't get any toxicology reports taken before and after I started using this soap) but I did find several reputable websites (ex. http://www.ehow.com/how_2125292_improve-skin-charcoal.html) that discuss the benefits of charcoal for your skin.

One of my big non-green guilt pleasures to this day is antiperspirant. I know I know, it is terrible for you not to let your body sweat and the aluminum in antiperspirants has been linked to cancer, but I bike to work every day and as wonderfully temperate as SF may be, I am just not comfortable showing up with huge pit stains every day. Well, fortunately for me, one of the claims associated with charcoal is that it can help rid the body of this exact toxin that I am putting in it every day. Heres to hoping it works!

Regardless of whether this soap saves me from giving myself cancer, it is still a great soap, and there is just something super cool about having BLACK soap :) I definitely recommend it.

A Biased Review

I am the Soapmaker therefore I am biased. I love our soaps because they truly are so very moisturizing. I used to have the driest skin in the world with eczema related problems as I long as I remember. Miraculously enough after the very first shower with our gentle all natural soap, I realized I do not need any lotions after the shower. I still do not use any lotions other than the sunblock. I hope this will happen to you too. You can say good bye to paraben lotions simply by purchasing the right type of soap.
