Spreading the Word--Spreading the Product Choices

Starting with a desire to learn composting, storeowner and creator Marilyn McKinney began learning about recycling & how to get it started in her community. Although there are composting programs available, now, in many communities, there was nothing when she was looking. So, she joined in recycling efforts, became knowledgeable politically, volunteered with the Bottle Bill Initiative ... eventually deciding to start her own business to not only have access to products available nowhere else but also to share her finds with others! She educated us beyond recycling materials to buying recycled to support recycling & buying green. She carries paper products, hemp products, shoes, interlocking tiles to make any size flooring that cushion while being waterproof, local crafts, & more - plus information and activities for social awareness & activism. Originally Turnaround Products of Martinez, we are grateful that she continued Turnaround Products when she moved to Main Street in Martinez & that she continues to share her finds & to educate us. Thank you, Marilyn. Thank you, people who work with her to keep her store open while she's enlightening more people at Earth Day & similar events.
