chicago's best massage experience

I've tried massages at many different venues, often combining services when visiting with friends. However, I keep coming back to Urban Oasis because it is precisely that, an oasis of quiet, soothing, calm and relaxation. I have yet to find a salon or spa that can match that atmosphere. When I get a massage I want to relax, but how can you relax when you are bombarded by loud music, the sound of hair dryers, patrons gossiping, cell phones etc.? UO is unique because their focus is massage. You notice right as you walk in, the mood shifts, voices are low and quiet, you remove your shoes and put on their sandals, are offered water, tea or juice, while waiting for your service. You also are offered use of a private shower and changing room after your massage. You have your choice of over a dozen different types of massage, the most popular apparently is the pre-natal version, and they also offer acupuncture and chiropractic services. Massage is not just a wonderful treat for tired, sore muscles, it is very therapeutic. It relieves tension and anxiety, promotes healing and boosts the immune system by improving circulation, and stimulating lymphatic drainage. Which flushes toxins from your muscles, so it's important to stay well hydrated. Massage can benefit almost anyone, especially those who work behind a desk or computer, perform repetitive tasks, or suffer from poor posture, headaches, muscle spasms, or arthritis.
