The best eye exam and contact lens fitting I've ever had

Dr. Ursula Moonsamy is GOOD. In the past twenty years I have been to a number of different optometrists for my annual eye exam and glasses/contact lens fittings. I usually walked away a satisfied customer. But Dr. Moonsamy has raised the bar to new heights. She is incredibly personable, very knowledgeable, and a creative, holistic thinker. I didn't know you could have this all rolled up into one practitioner. You can! Located near Lake Merritt in Oakland, she is worth the drive from anywhere in the bay area. She saw me four times, giving me new lenses to try each time. She was determined to get me the best possible fitting lenses. She also took lots of time to listen to my questions, examine my eyes, and educate me about the health of my eyes. She also suggested some natural remedies for my dry eyes (cod liver or flax seed oil, hot compresses). Her mother and brother also work in the office and are a delight. Her brother adjusted and fixed my glasses, a pair that many other practitioners had given up on. It was a great experience all around.
