My interest in piqued, so I've requested a sample subscription. This month's fashion issue is interesting:
• Animal-free style and fabrics
• Editorial: "I'm a thrift-shop addict"
• Project Runway's Jay McCarroll
• Dan Piraro's top 10 comeback lines
• Veg Escape to Costa Rica and Paris
• Vegan soul food
• Perfect pizzas (cheeseless!)
If I like their publication, I may take advantage of their $50 website special: I'll receive a 1-year , 6-issue, subscription to VegNews , tote bag filled with the current edition, cotton tee-shirt, and six Alternative Baking Company vegan cookies. And, they will ship my order free of charge.
An added benefit of visiting VegNews online is their marketplace page - links to books, magazines & CD's, food & kitchen, clothing & merchandise, restaurants & culinary, travel, and vegetarian events.
I hope they have back issues with articles about gluten-free cooking. Can't seem to find a "search" option; a "find on this page" search yielded zip.

A great resource of vegetarian and health related issues/interests for my two vegetarian children. My college age son shares it with his boss in the college cafeteria and they are adding more and more vegetarian options, as well as more healthful choices for the kids.

I love my VegNews magazine - it's not like Vegetarian Times that mostly gives you recipes. You get news, current events, relevant advertising and recipes. It's very up-to-date and colorful, all while being socially conscious.
My mom got me a gift subscription and one for herself.
I highly recommend it!
Remember - you are what you read!
This is the best vegetarian/vegan magazine out there! Very professionally done, with quality full-color, gorgeous photography that draws one into the well-written, socially conscious writing. Even the advertising fully promotes veg businesses. CHECK IT OUT!
